Each photographic moment for me must be a connection. Something interests me, surprises me, touches me, or makes me smile. I shoot by instinct, but always keep a strong graphic framework as the architecture for each moment. Some of my images are giclée prints; some are gelatin silver prints with hand-applied color. The hand-coloring is intended to extend the impression-a subtle application of watercolor, oils, and pastels, so that the viewer can feel color, more than see it. I print my photographs in limited editions of 45 (see purchase info). If the image is hand-colored, each photograph in the edition is slightly unique, since the coloring is original for each photograph.
